Getting Here
The closest airport is Albany International Airport (ALB)—a little over an hour from the venue. LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) are also within reach, both around 2–2.5 hours away by car or taxi.
From Buffalo, Tannersville is just over 5 hours drive east. We recommend renting a car if you’re flying in, or coordinating rides with friends, as ride shares are not available in the area.
Where to Stay
There are a handful of charming inns and boutique hotels in and around Tannersville. Everything is a short drive to the venue, so you’ll have a few options depending on the vibe you’re going for. We strongly encourage guests to stay at one of the hotels listed out below for easy access to the transportation provided on the wedding day, as there are no Ubers / ride share services in the area.
Hotel Lilien
A beautifully restored eighteen-room boutique hotel and cocktail bar in upstate New York’s Catskill Mountains. Guests can either call and refer to the Crimmen / Strauss Wedding or utilize the attached link and select “add promotional code” with the code CrimmenStraussWedding to unlock the wedding weekend dates. Bluebird- Hunter Lodge
A boutique hotel with a modern take on a 70s-inspired ski lodge, located in the heart of the Catskills. Guests can either call and refer to the Crimmen / Strauss Wedding or utilize the attached link. Update as of 4/11- our room block is fully booked, but the Lodge has plenty of rooms still available via their standard booking process.

A cafe nestled in the heart of Hunter Mountain, owned an operator by the team behind Scribner’s. The cafe focuses on locally sourced ingredients to create a warm ambiance and friendly service, that celebrates the beauty of the Catskills.

A trendy Scandinavian ski lodge that was founded to welcome a new generation of urban explorers to the beautiful year-round destination of the Catskills. Scribner’s features 20 acres of mountainside land, multiple indoor and outdoor amenities and a locally-inspired restaurant, Prospect.
Colonial Country Club Golf
A beautiful public golf course right in town. The course was constructed “on the natural lay of the land” in the early 1920’s and has many characteristics of an old style Traditional layout.
Kaaterskill Falls
A stunning two tier waterfall, one of the highest in NY. The observation deck is an easy five minute walk from the main lot. There are also hiking trails and stairs leading to the base.
